my yellow chair and my fisherman

August 2021 found us on a new adventure. The mornings were cool by the waterside, wrapped in a blanket from my oldest child listening to Miqedem and drawing. It’s my favorite thing to do. We’ve learned how to be together… doing what we love.

Warm Summer Nights…

It’s my favorite time of year. The temperature here most often soars into the 90’s. Gaining earned secure attachment is about learning to be ok with your autonomous self. Last night was a sweet yet subtle reminder I’m good with me. Windows down, radio up stillness from Him rests in the depths of my soul.

Stopping to Enjoy What is Before Me Today.

My yellow chair and I went to a place from when I was small. I imagine it’s where I first fell in love with the sun, water, and the ever changing shape of the clouds as the Northern breeze rippled the water along. The quiet of each sunset brings the dancing of the dragon flies to a peaceful rest. I am grateful for the opportunities that today brought to me to just be still and “be.”

What Once Was….

July 9, 2021-

Today, my yellow chair and I went back to what once was. Learning how to slow down and “stay in the day” is the biggest gift of my journey. In this place I’m learning to love what is before me. God, who was once distant and unstable is now close and intimate. I know He is with me my provider protector. I can see evidence continuously around me. That is the reminder, I am loved.

Hazy Days Of Summer

It’s my favorite time of the year. The temperature will soar into the 90’s. My early morning walk revealed so much beauty in today. There is a warm hazy glow to the sky. I’m grateful for this season of experiencing what is truly is to stay in the day and trust Him for tomorrow.
