For almost five years, my yellow chair and I have been to many places. It’s been quite the adventure.The yellow chair was given to me by the Holy Spirit. It was something I wanted, not necessarily something I needed, but I knew it was for me. It became a place He gave me to rest and relax—to put my feet up and simply rest in Him.This time, I had my yellow chair with me in the middle of Illinois. I thought I was going to need it that evening, but instead, I ended up taking a break in the middle of my drive. There I was, at a gas station surrounded by cornfields on a beautiful day. I enjoyed talking with a new friend while drinking my lemonade water.Sometimes, the very thing we need to do is put our feet up and rest. We need to reflect on where our foundation is and lean more into who He is for us.
